STARZLACH GORGE — WONDER OF NATURE
The natural creator of the Starzlach gorge is the Starzlach, which is placed between Grünten and Wertacher Hörnle in 1070 m, and fed by numerous gutters. In the gorge, the water falls down from several waterfalls.

For thousands of years, the Starzlach has been seeking its way over the rock falls and forcing itself through boiler-shaped watermills into the gorge. In the fossil-bearing rocks of the rock walls also nummulites can be found. The Starzlach gorge is a starting point for hiking and mountain bike tours and many other beautiful nature experiences.
